A catch-all feature that is activated for a given email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you run a company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to get only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any effort if you’ve got a cloud website hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet unbelievably easy to use, and it will enable you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just a few mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one you will find a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking it once again will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you already have another one with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting plan with our company. The hosting account will be managed via our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes under any domain registered here. To enable the catch-all option for a mailbox, you’ll need to click the symbol with the same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Deactivating this option can be accomplished in the same fashion and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a particular domain name, you’ll receive a warning text message. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never alter or deactivate anything automatically.
